  1. Silent Bob I finally 5-starred TTFAF (on Medium)

It was a bit of cheat, since it's on the new GH:Smash Hits. The note charts are slightly easier with those "slide" sections where you don't have to strum at all, but I was still pretty jazzed.

It kept reading "238 out of 240 Stars" on the bottom of my screen. On my first play-through on career, I five-starred everything except Crazy Train, Play with Me, Raining Blood, and TTFAF. Four stars on those first three, only a pathetic 3 on TTFAF. My goal was to five star the entire disc. I got the first three done on my very first try! I was feeling pretty confident on TTFAF, but only netted a 4 star performance three times in a row. I was starting to get a little drowsy (still on the Vicodin for the back pain associated with those stinkin' kidney stones!), so I gave it one more shot. I don't know if it's because I relaxed so much (sometimes I hold the guitar too tightly) or if I was pushed "into the zone" by my pharmaceuticals (something I'm NOT condoing here, by the way), but I nailed a 5-star (barely, but still 5!) on my very next go-round!

I know this is not exciting news for those of you who can play the original from GH:III on Expert (and I know a lot of you on these boards who can!), but this song has always been a thorn in my side. It plays at least what I'd consider hard level (sans orange button, of course), maybe more. It's so over-the-top compared to everything else on GH:III, even on Smash Hits (and that goes for bass, vocals, and drums too!).

Now my next goal is to 4-star or 5-star that baby on the original GH:III disc. Four shouldn't be a problem. Five will be for sure. I just never got around to it, because I always thought it was more an endurance test than anything. Now that I've played through it a few times, I've managed to pick up how various sections are to be played, where before I was just furiously pressing buttons in the hopes of completing the song.
