Player Chronicle -- Posted on Mar 30 2008

I was just going to add this to the end of my lengthy Guitar Hero tournament chronicle, but I thought it deserved a place of its own.

Some of our out-of-town guests wanted to get together for some good chow with their fellow GoGers before splitting for the day, so a big group of us headed down to the China Buffet on SE Delaware for lunch.

It was really good to be able to sit down and enjoy everybody's company. There were lots of stories being told (in between shoving crab rangoons and egg rolls down our throats).

It was the perfect way to end the day. And it was the epitome of what the GoG is all about - gamers getting together for the sheer love of gaming. All rivalries were left at the door and everybody got along great. I was really glad my brother got the chance to join us. We don't get much opportunity to get out with a big group like that because of work and kids.

I was glad to take a break because my poor feet were starting to throb from pacing around the game center tracking all the brackets. Wink

As I'm sure the others will do, I agree and it was great to game it up with everyone.

My hope is that other gaming centers can connect with their community by using The GoG. It's such an easy, yet powerful way to network and make some gaming friends!

To quote Silent Bob: "And it was the epitome of what the GoG is all about - gamers getting together for the sheer love of gaming. All rivalries were left at the door and everybody got along great."

I wholeheartedly agree. Good time for all I thought.
