Player Chronicle -- Posted on Sep 15 2008

I wasn't first in line to get the game this morning, but I was close.

Bumped into a couple GoG members at the Ankeny GameStop, including frygel. Very Happy

I didn't get a whole lot of time to spend with this trying to unlock songs. We had a birthday party group right at opening at Cyber Ops today, and they all wanted to jump on this right away.

Once they were done, I jumped on with my son and nephew and one other kid in the game center. We managed to get through Eye of the Tiger, Hungry Like the Wolf, Spirit in the Sky, and Lump (which everybody was singing the rest of the day - I hate it when a stupid song is that catchy; at least it wasn't Peaches!). Had to call it quits after that because it got too busy.

Can't wait to get to some of the better tunes on the disk unlocked. Glad to see the setlist a little more open during the initial rounds. I didn't like the grind of replaying the same songs over and over on the original Rock Band. This one should prove to be a little better in that regard.

I never did figure out how to unlock all the songs in the original. Anybody got tips for Rock Band 2 unlock? I can probably get the code anywhere, but I seem to have a problem entering it for some reason.

    I totally saw you there.

Got my drumset, its a pile of sh!t, to say the least, but with proper sock modding, it seems to do fine.

Here's the quickest and best way to unlock all songs, not including the cheat....

Rock Band 2 is great, the tweaks are minor, but as a whole it's a great improvment. Me and fry played quite a bit on Sunday, but the world tour seems so much bigger then Rock Band's.

I may also add that the code apparently needs to be put in at a fairly quick, steady pace.

Glad to see you're enjoying the game! I worked on unlocking stuff for about 5 hours yesterday, and I still have a ton of songs to get. I could go on about how great this game is, but I'll reserve that for the chronicle I plan on writing once I finish all the tracks.

The Unlock All code was RYBRRBBRYB on the title screen.

As for Rock Band 2, here's a thread with all of the cheats so far.
