We got to the convention center and I was amazed at the size of area. It was easily large enough to hold a full size football field along with a large number of fans. After getting registered and receiving our Booth Staff badges, we were led to the Brocade area. To my surprise, it was on the other side of a wall which had a *second* room almost as large as the first! Truely massive.

We spent a couple of hours setting up the XBox 360 consoles and play-testing the equipment to make sure there was no damage during shipment. Unfortunately there was. One console (mine, incidentally) would no longer display properly from the HD component cables and only works when with the composite cables. One console down. Fortunately, we'd brought a spare and that one works great! A couple of the guitars are slightly damaged in that they will trigger star power at the first available opportunity automatically. Not in perfect condition, but still very playable.

After letting the Brocade team play a couple of rounds on easy, Zach and I played some rounds on expert to really put the systems through some use. We managed to draw quite a crowd from the surrounding booths, and there weren't even any attendees present! The rest of the week seems like it's going to be very busy, and very fun!

After "work", we relaxed with some GTA IV for a couple houors, then went and got some dinner at Red Lobster. To fill out the rest of the evening, we checked out the "extreme" mini-golf course right by our hotel. It was pretty nice as far as mini-golf courses go. It had a dinosaur theme with two separate courses and a large volcano that would erupt if you got a hole in one on the 19th hole. After 2 rounds of 19, I was the only one to erupt the volcano. Yay me! Wink

Sounds like you guys are having a good time despite having some equipment issues. I bet the weekend is going to be crazy for you guys! (It's amazing how plastic instruments draw people in...)
