  1. LadyLiliBean A review of Pure for the PS3

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Dec 16 2008

Now think back to the days of when you played Jet Motto. Anyone who played this game on Playstation or Xbox, knows exactly what I'm talking about. And anyone who knew Edgar Velasquez, would think of him next, after I said Jet Motto. But back to my point, remember back to those days? That game was very awesome. It was fun to fly across the water on a jet ski, trying to hit jumps and get boost to out-race your opponents. Well, that's the same feeling I just got from playing Pure.

Aside from Jet Motto, Pure more closely resembles Tricky and SSX, the infamous snowboarding game. This game is thrilling. After you experience the fun of riding an ATV through mud in an exotic race track somewhere in Thailand, you can watch the replay of your actual race and you can be in total amazement of the stunning visual graphics and detail.

Pure is definitely a fun game to play for a few hours, any given night. I rented it but this will be a game I buy when I can catch a used one at Play N Trade or Gamestop. The only downside of this game is that you can't play multiplayer, split screen. You can, however, play this multiplayer game on Playstation's free online network against players from all over the world. And you'll maybe even play against Edgar Velasquez.

PURE is a ton of fun. This was an unexpected hit at our game center (on XBox 360, not PS3), and most reviews have been very kind.

Not having local multiplayer capabilities hurts these types of games in my opinion, but it sounds like the high flying action is still a ton of fun Very Happy

Congrats on your first video game reviewing GoG Chronicle and keep 'em coming!
