  1. LadyLiliBean Carolina Games Summit Review

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Feb 09 2009

I have to admit that my review of CGS will be short. We lost early and I managed to hurt myself. (See video) However, I took a ton of pics that I'll upload when I get home.

CGS was fun. The COD4 tourny was a little screwy but everyone had a great time. We were the 2nd group to play and lost our first game in the single elimination bracket. The team we lost to ended up winning the event, so we didn't feel so bad.

There was plenty to do if you didn't play in a tournament. Puck and I played pool and watched people jam out at Dance Dance Revolution. I had flashbacks of watching Grandma's Boy and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were some awesome Rock Band and Guitar Hero players and many vendors.

I'm still recovering from my long day so I'll write more and upload some pics in the next day or so.

Hey Bean, thanks for the first review to drop from the CGS event! I know that spill must have hurt in such an epic foot race, but I've showed a few people that clip and I've got way too many laughs, haha.

I hope you're feeling alright of course, but we'll look for more photos and highlights from you soon. It'd also be great to have you back on the GoGcast (episode 9) this week, to hear even more from your CGS adventures Very Happy

Ouch! How in the world did you manage to skin the TOPS of your hands and knuckles? That giant cherry on your knee was the most painful.

It kind of cracked me up to see that you and your friends are so competitive, not just in games.

Thanks for the post. Looking forward to some of the pics.

I had a touch of schadenfreude watching your video. Wink

Looking good in your jeans does not equal being able to run in them! Laughing I hope you weren't seriously hurt.

Too bad the COD tourney was single elim. I've never run a single elim team tournament. Even our individual single elim stuff you get more than one shot (like Guitar Hero, playing multiple songs). I don't think it's a true gauge of your team's play.
