Well, although Halo Wars will drop next, Bungie has obviously stayed connected with the project and is teasing people by releasing a few informational postings and video trailers on their website within the past week. Here's what I found...
"Bungie has several projects underway within the studio, one of which is a brand new campaign experience for Halo 3 that we teased two weeks ago. Now, at long last, we can lift the shroud of secrecy and shed a little more light on what we've been working on.
We'll have more to say later, but for now, check out our official announcement trailer which builds upon the teaser and provides new insights into what awaits next Fall."
Personally, I am excited because it's Halo and something new from Bungie, right, but honestly I probably won't play it right away because I haven't even played the original Halo 3 campaign!
Now I know, I'm an anti-gamer for not playing the campaign of my favorite game, but I do this all the time. I get a game and go straight out to Xbox Live and never find time to actually play through the campaign, haha. Halo 2, Halo 3, CoD4, and Gears of War have all been like that. I suppose I'm a multiplayer type of gamer and the story can be saved for when my Internet connection is down or something.
Okay, I've diverted away from my Halo 3 Recon discussion, but I suppose what I'm trying to say is that this will be awesome, but more like a Halo 3.1 for me. I'm glad they're at least not trying to pawn it off as Halo 4!
Let's get this discussion fired up in the GoG Forum, see some more Chronicles from other members who are pumped about this development, and I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more information on this game soon...
