My Wii Is Collecting Dust

I saw a post in the GoG Forum about Mario Kart Wii today and had to wonder why I haven't turned my Nintendo Wii on for months!
I'm well aware that I usually only enjoy the Wii in a social/party setting and I haven't been bringing it to friend's houses as much, but why am I not playing this on my own?
I like the Wii games I have, but when I'm gaming along, I only consider turning the Xbox 360 on and playing one of its games online...maybe it's the weak online capabilities of the Wii that are throwing me off and allowing it to sit and collect dust?!
