Monopoly City Streets Sucks

So tonight I got wind of this interesting online Monopoly concept through Twitter and Mashable. Monopoly City Streets is TRYING to use Google Maps to offer a game where you buy "any" street in the world.
This seemed like a neat concept, so I posted the Hasbro-developed game and some information about it over in the GoG Forum (www.GatheringofGamers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2571). Soon after posting this information, I thought it would be fun to jump in and see what this game was all about. So I get to the site and think it's cool at first. Then the bugs and loading times start.
First I had the hardest time even finding out how to register and once I was registered, I basically had no idea how to get started.
The loading times were enough to quit playing, but I pressed on and was only met with more disappointment. Buying streets was confusing and the pretty interface soon became nothing more but a frustration.
This game seems to have a lot of opportunity, but I don't see myself ever logging back on to the site. If you've tried this game, hopefully you've had more luck, but if you're only going to listen to me...don't waste your time.

Posted On Oct 01 2009Board games looks good though. I often prefer video versions to the board game, less to keep track of, But this one seems to be more work than play.
