1. Pre-E3 2010 Excitement

   So E3 in LA is less than a week away. I've been busy connecting the largest GoG Media Team in history, with numerous meetings and scheduled game presentations. My goal is to make E3 2010 better than ever!
   
   So we'll arrive in Los Angeles on Monday evening (6/14). We get in pretty late, so it's likely we'll just settle in and prepare for the madness that begins Tuesday. Tuesday morning, it's likely that we'll get to the Orange County Convention Center a bit early. This allowed us to check out the E3 venue and even sneak in a few unplanned appointments last year. Once the show begins around noon, time will vanish and we'll have tons to do.
   
   Whether we're trolling around the venue's main halls or sitting in on our scheduled one-on-one developer meetings, we'll be there to represent THIS video game community. With a team of 5-6 fellow GoG members, I think we'll have even better E3 coverage than previous years, so stay connected with the official event profile folks...

   Outside of the real reason we're there, you all know I'm always looking for the next adventure and this will lead me to some "extra curricular" networking opportunities I'm sure. We've got two awesome industry after-party invites, so it's likely that we'll end up crashing those in downtown LA on Tuesday and Wednesday night. My Dubian friend from E3 2009 will also be back in the states, so who knows what stories I'll come back with. With the LA Lakers once again in the NBA Finals and hopefully seeing them play next door in a Game 7, I have a feeling this year will be the craziest (and most beneficial) E3 experience yet!
   
   Lastly, and more or a personal goal, I hope to check out this place they call The Standard. This rooftop bar in downtown LA looks amazing and as the background on my phone, I hope to experience this place for myself. I looked into having a GoG sponsored after-party at this hotel, but the $10K minimum and $1K+ rental fee made it something we'll have to do another time. If we EVER host a GoG E3 event here...all 6,000+ GoG members should want to be there
   
   E3 2010 is going to be hot, so watch and learn my friends...
