Player Chronicle -- Posted on Apr 08 2008

Since we don't have another GoG event until May 3rd, I can finally rent a game I want to play and not the title we need for a tourney, haha. It's been awhile since I raced through the virtual streets of the world, so I picked up Burnout Paradise from EA. I enjoyed this game and after playing it for over an hour...have to give it 7 out of 10 Very Happy

The crash scenes are cool(although I could see them getting old after awhile) and the game is easy to get into. I haven't seen many of the cars yet, but they seem to be mostly muscle cars with alot of power and speed. The jumps and unlockables are also a treat. I don't know if I'd go as far as buying the game, but an easy rent for sure.

The one thing I'm worried about, is that I did not see a quit or save option and I assume the game saves as I play, so cheers to turning off the game and hoping you don't loose your hard earned accomplishments, Laughing

I've only completed about 6-8% of the game, so I'm by no means an expert, but the game seems to be a good mix or racing, tricks, and violent crashes! If you like racing games, I would guess that you'll enjoy Burnout Paradise.

I jumped online quick as well, but I'm still not fully aware of the games that are available out there. If anyone else has this game or plays it online, maybe we can go around and take people out Ninja

After I wrote this Chronicle, I found myself still wanting to play this game! I found that the game DID autosave my game which was huge. I proceeded to unlock around 20 of the 75 cars available and started getting pretty good. As you get faster cars, the game gets more and more intense. The road and city becomes a blur! haha

Anyways, it was the first racing game that I wasn't playing online that I got into lately, so I have to give the game some additional props and increase my recent rating to 7.5 out of 10. Check this out for sure...
