  1. BEN My FPS Confession

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Aug 11 2008

As I read a GoG Forum post this morning about challenging a fellow member through a game's campaign, I felt an odd need to confess something to this community of ours today.

As a fairly big FPS-type of gamer and having Halo 3/Call of Duty 4 as two of my favorite games...my confession is that I've only played a few co-op levels of the Halo 3 campaign and haven't even started the CoD4 campaign!!!

I feel like I'm missing out, but when the game get turned on, I'm headed online to play and meet others. I've heard both campaigns are cool, so I do plan to play the one player versions of each game, but I had to get that little secret off my chest Wink

Alright, boo and hiss at me, starting...NOW!

I died a little bit inside...Just kidding. The trick is, if you ever do wanna play CoD4's campaign I suggest you appear offline, because otherwise you risk being overloaded with invites (I know from experience Laughing )...also I have to admit I've never beaten Halo 3 on legendary yet so I'm up for that sometime.

Well, to each their own. You don't have to play the campaign; I just look at it as a reason why you'd pay $60 for a game. I like to play them not only because I like to get everything I possibly can out of a game, but I find that the campaign helps you avoid getting completely owned when you first play the multiplayer. By the time you jump in to your first mp match, you'll be accustomed to the controls, know the fuctionality and limitations of most of the weapons, etc.

If you ever want to play through H3's campaign on co-op though, send me a message. I'll be glad to hold your hand through it! Wink (joking...I'm pretty sure you can handle it.)
