Guitar Hero: World Tour Division Results
Player Chronicle -- Posted on Mar 21 2009
As the loudest division within this tournament event, we'd like to congratulate all the true Plastic Rockstars for some amazing performances, on some of the toughest Expert-level songs in the game!
A special congratulations goes to our tournament champion, Awolter, who fought his way through the Loser's Bracket to redeem his previous lose to who would become the second place winner, RyuBlitz
A new GoG member, Wolvatron, had some awesome performances as well and took home the third place spot. He was also quoted as saying that this GoG event was far better than an unnamed event the weekend before
Anyways, we enjoyed meeting some new participants and also had fun reconnecting with many old friends. We missed some regulars because they were at the Midwest Gaming Classic and Link will appreciate this shoutout for his 4th Place performance, but he DID have a pretty tough draw, so we'll give him credit.
The entire event was played on Expert, so that should give you a pretty good idea of the quality we were working with at this tournament. Thanks again to all who shared this fun event with us and like the 2v2 Halo Division, we had plenty of folks eager to attend another GoG event, so stay close and rock on...

Silent Bob
Posted On Mar 22 2009I feel like a proud papa...I can remember when Link first came up to the game center, playing on Medium, all his prior experience having been jamming at the GH kiosks at local stores in the electronics divisions...once he got his Wii and GH for himself, his skill really jumped. Now he's holding his own with the best we have. Good job, man.
Nice to see Matt (Wolvatron) come out for the first time. Hopefully we'll have some repeat performances because he really gave Ryu and Awolter a run for the money.
I also enjoyed watching the young man who played his guitar flat - his unorthodox style placed him pretty far up the ladder.
And I wanted to throw a shout-out to the very young man who gave it his best against after only playing about 15 months against some older and more seasoned competitors. Keep up the good word, and I'm sure we'll see you at future events! -
