  1. MLG Columbus 09 Mrs Violence's MLG Columbus Experience

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Jun 15 2009

Mrs Violence sets out to embark on a new journey. Her destination you ask? Columbus Ohio: for the second stop on the Major League Gaming Circuit.

Taking a bus from Chicago to Columbus isn't that bad she thought, until a migraine hit her head the second she stepped foot on the bus. But nearly 7 hours later, she was de-boarding the bus, and into her dearest friends (Miranda) red cavalier. This is the first time she's ever met this gamer, so this moment was pretty special since she's been great online friends with her, since late 2005. After the meet and greet, they head off to the Hyatt Hotel for some more meet and greets of teammates and close friends. But, still feeling sick, and her Team Foxy hotel room not fully ready, Mrs V heads over to some close gears of war friends room for some chill time (Head still hurts). Brenna "Big Vixxen" gladly welcomes her in, and even offers some high priced ice cream. This girl is just too cute. Gladly Mrs V declines, and just decides to watch Kenny "Cream" Lawson plays some Peggle on the XBL Dashboard.

About an hour later, Mrs V finds out her room is ready and awaiting her with two very amazing ladies inside (Stop thinking dirty). Celeste "Bittersweet", and Ellen "Faith", two amazing Halo 3 players of Team Foxy, were waiting there with open welcoming arms. After her meet and greet with these two ladies, instantly she laid down for some peaceful rest while they went out and met up with their Halo 3 friends. Shower, sleep and calm music did it perfectly for Mrs V. But how long did that last for? About 3 hours. Her best friend for life, Rusty “Rman”, was texting Mrs V, telling her of his arrival. She woke up, met up with him and some close Gears of War buddies, said her “hello’s”, then went right back to her room to pass out for the event the next morning.

Friday morning awakens Mrs V, and she instantly knows that it’s game time. Getting dressed into her Team Foxy gear, she quickly gets her Noobtube.tv Video Equipment and starts filming the Foxy Four going over strategies. These girls were so serious about their conversation; Mrs V couldn’t miss this perfect opportunity. About 20 minutes of discussion later, the Team Foxy ladies made their way down to the food court to meet up with the Sponsors, X Fuel, and other Team Foxy Members, new and old. (Rinse, wash and repeat for two more days)!

Making their entrance into the Venue, with their new shirts, hats and even custom purses, the ladies got a bit of attention.

Dealing with all the fans and friends is tough work, but the girls are ready to play. For MLG Columbus, Team Foxy Gaming had a total of 5 teams participating on the circuit. Foxy Four (Winners Round 1, Losers Round 3), Ladies First (Double Eliminated), Alter Ego (Winners Round 1, Losers round 4), Foxy Ricochet (Winners Round 2, Losers Round 2), and Bowans Babes (Losers Round 3).

Everyone was really impressed by all the ladies that showed up to this event. Even MLG and ESPN had some questions for Team Foxy’s very own Golden Girl-The first Female to be featured on Main Stage for Free for all Finals.
Golden, even gave Mrs V an exclusive interview for Noobtube.tv. She ended up taking 3rd place in the FFA Finals for MLG and Game battles.

The weekend was a huge success for Mrs Violence and her Team Foxy Documentary. There was a great show of females representing this amazing organization, and they sure put up a fight in every match they played. Sunday Morning, the ladies made their way to a remote location for a photo shoot get together.

You can view all the pictures here. Also, all pictures were taken by Ellen Yang. Her personal work: http://www.myspace.com/melystudio

I’m going to jump out of third person here for a second. It was an overall amazing weekend. It was much better than Meadowlands for sure. I experienced hanging out with the leaders of team foxy more, filming all new and old members of Team Foxy, and basically just getting a great overview of how much time and dedication these ladies put into their games. And thanks for putting up with my camera in your face all weekend. You ladies all did amazing, and thanks for making my weekend awesome!

Wow, great account of your MLG Columbus experience! It sounds like you had a ton of fun (besides the migraine), and I appreciate you sharing your experiences around here.

I look forward to those videos showing up around here soon as well, and you mentioned new Team Foxy shirts...was GoG still on the top of the shirt's back like Meadowlands?

See you in Dallas and thanks for announcing this second MLG Sponsorship Contest for us Very Happy
