Player Chronicle -- Posted on Jul 08 2010
So I purchased a MAME cabinet built by a friend of mine, and its been great. Until my Windows Xp got corrupted and I couldnt run windows update. a series of problems ensued, until I had no choice to reinstall. I reinstalled once, and had issues, so again I reinstalled and I am just getting things working again.
I'll try and update or post chronicles on some of the games I enjoy and some of the software I use to make the ultimate MAME experience. The first one is the software I use on the front end - its called GameEx.
It is incredible and fairly cheap - and it handles all emulators and DVD/Video/Karaoke/Photos and more. You can even use it to automatically download and install MAME itself.
If you are looking for a front-end to MAME, then definitely try Game-Ex.
You can download it at http://www.gameex.com theres also a video to show you how it works.

Posted On Jul 08 2010Thanks for the insight on Game-Ex, but you know I just want to make sure you have NBA JAM! There are endless amounts of great games for emulators, but that title is one of my favorite arcade titles to play with three friends.
Nice update, congrats on your 6th Chronicle, and even more props on figuring out how to attach a photo to your post
