1. The Makings of a Strategy Guide: PMS Clan & Halo 3:ODST

   Earlier this summer, at the recommendation of Microsoft, Prima Games contacted the Leaders of the PMS Clan to inquire if we would be interested in working on a project for one of their upcoming strategy guides. The project: Strategy Guides for all current Halo 3 Matchmaking maps.
   
   Excited at the prospect, and never one to pass up a challenge, the details were discussed, agreed upon, and then the ball started rolling. PMS Clan Halo 3 Division Leader and Co-Leader, PMS UT Princess and PMS Solincia, began organizing the PMS Clan Halo 3 division--over 40 members--to determine who would be working on which map, strategies, screenshots, and map overhead views with labeling.
   
   Having weekly meetings and emergency sessions, the work on the strategy guide included not only constant contact and collaboration between ladies of the division, but also conference calls and correspondence with those at Prima working on putting the Halo 3 ODST Strategy Guide together.
   
   For those of you who have seen or now own the Strategy Guide, ask yourself, what does it take? How much work is involved? The answer: Quite a bit.
   
   The ladies of the PMS Clan Halo 3 Division don’t just game. They are full time employees, students, mothers, wives, etc, who love gaming, Halo & all things Bungie. Finding the time to study and prepare the Halo 3 matchmaking maps was no small feat, but worth every second!
   
   Countless revisions, late nights, and finishing a map overhead TWICE two hours before hopping on a plane to MLG Dallas because the computer froze when ALMOST done the first time--while fun--is definitely hard work!
   
   As you peruse the Prima Halo 3: ODST Official Game Strategy Guide please take a few moments to check out the author of each map. All content, every last word to every screenshot is a product of the hard work and dedication of the ladies who wrote them.
   
   Special thanks to all the ladies of the PMS Clan Halo 3 Division, to the entire PMS Clan and H2O Clan for their love and support, to Bungie for their awesome games, to Microsoft and our great connection with them, and to Prima for giving us the opportunity to work along side them.    Solincia!!!! Wow I already commented on myspace and facebook about your awesomeness! Glad you are sharing it here too! I am so happy to see the ladies be a part of something so exciting! Congrats! I have worked with you ladies for many years and well it is finally great to see Halo 3 PMS hit so big! I was stunned when I opened my Manual! Congrats again <3 Ya ladies! Grandma

   Wow, what a neat opportunity! You said you had big news coming soon and you were kidding.
   
   I'm excited to have such influential ladies a part of our community and I can't imagine the work that goes into creating a published strategy guide.
