games like Mario Party 7 kosts about 100 dollars here, it's insane.

Did find Starfox Adventures for in a good deal (buy 3, pay for 2)... although I ended up buying 4 ^^

Finally got a hold of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1+2 for the Xbox (and Fallout Brotherhood of Steel)... not the best of titles, but I hadn't seen any of them for quite a while =) And it's Interplay's last work, so if nothing else to honour a great company, which has followed my gaming through ages =)

Secret of Mana reminds of Link to the Past, as they are both "Action/Adventure/RPG's", so it's a different take on the genre, not as well thought out (IMHO) as Link to the Past, but worth checking out.

I try to collect all GameCube and Xbox1 games, I can get a hold of in stores at the moment, since they are slowly but steadily dissapearing on the market. It's not the oldest, nor greatest of game-consoles, nor games, but I think we should all do our part to ensure that video-gaming of the past is well preserved for the future..

    (sorry.. my ramblings)

to me (never haven gotten into the "depths" of) Final Fantasy VIII feels like... we made it 3D once and we can do it again!! (and add one more disc)... it was (according to my knowledge) better selling than nr. 7, but mainly because of the hype.

As soon as I get off my 360, I'll try and give nr. 9 a try however, since the graphics feel more appealing (yes, I do care about graphics, since they are a great part of the game); I don't like the character-graphics in FFVIII, since they try to look "real", which is quite difficult on a PS1.

FFIX seems to have the "old" graphics instead. Characters look... cartoony. In a good way ^^

How about the "Secret of Mana" series? tried them?

FF 7, had it all, great graphics, a well-thought-through battle system and an epic story.
I always wanted to go through and play FF8, since it was so well received by the critics (and fans), but I have a hard time dealing with the graphics =/

Still, I must say that most of Square's RPG's meet up to a standard (storywise), which few other companies can match

It was hard work indeed (I was 16 at the time), but I was raised much of my youth on that same farm and there was much more to do, so I was used to it =)

Although it may seem "boring" compared to producing computer-games, or whatever else one may dream of, a job is still a job.

And as long as one feels comfortable getting up to it in the morning, it can't be all that bad? ^^

Going to work with one's family, can be straining ^^ But at the same time, it can lead to a bit more "relaxed" atmosphere =)

Go on-line to find the blue-switch palace? hehe, yeah, I'm on my way there as well ^^ (I can hardly remember any of the secrets and as much as I would love to be able of finding "everything" by myself; it just takes too long =)

I have Chrono Trigger for the SNES and Chrono Cross for the PSX; although I haven't played Chrono Cross yet, since I always think that it's "better" to go through them in chronological order (not that they have "that much" in common, but still)

Chrono Trigger, is absolutely wonderful, it has a captivating story (although "simple"); and the characters feel really "alive" (not to mention the music... it's absolutely wonderful) (I tend to get emotional, when it comes to Japanese RPG's... I started crying the first time I went through Final Fantasy VII and Aeris dies... *sigh*)

There is a PSX version of Chrono Trigger as well (as far as I can recall) (it's got some cut-scenes as well, but otherwise it's the same game)

The RPG's these days (at least the Japanese) still have great story-lines; but I just don't find them as "captivating". I played Final Fantasy X and XII pretty much, when I had my PS2, but I just didn't find them as good as FInal Fantasy VI and VII. And I have a love for sprites ^^ (Although FFVII is polygonal 3D)

The SNES RPG's do "look alot" like one another, but it's their story-lines that make up the game in the lack of "graphics" (although I find them more appealing, since the PSX, wasn't truly capable of showing off "true" 3D at the time and the PS2 is... good, but... there's just something about SNES RPG's that's more my style ^^)

I can imagine that working at a gamestore, perhaps is more attractive when you're "young" and "just need a job". Me personally would love to work at one, mainly since my primary (only(?)) interest in life are... Games =) (and art... and poetry...^^)

The woodcutter job I had was... woodcutter ^^ ("Lumberjack"), so it was up early in the morning, then going to the forest (woods) and chopping trees, then load them up on a trailer, take them to the saw-mill and make boards. Nothing "advanced"; but we were only 2 people managing the whole process (me and my foster-father), and it was a "nice" feeling; sitting in the forest, taking a lunch-break with some hot cocoa and an egg-sandwich, lightning up a fire and just chatting away for around half-an-hour, before going back to work.

It was satisfying at the end of the day, when I was totally exhausted and could sleep knowing that I had done my fair share of work for the day =)

As mentioned, it's good to have a "trade", eventhough one has to start somewhere, it's always possiblle to "branch out", once you get a hold of it =)

Although I love all Super Mario games; Super Mario World is the one I "keep going back" to; I think it's the best in the series, with outstanding graphics and a gameplay, which makes one coming back for more. Only "problem" is remembering all the secret stuff ^^
The good thing with Platform and Arcade-style games, is that there's not too much of a story-line to get lost in, which makes it possible to play more than one at the time.
I'm a bit stuck in Breath of Fire and am tempted to start over with Chrono Cross, but I don't want to mix up the story-lines =)

As far as work goes, I can imagine it to be pretty rough keeping 2 jobs at the same time, it's not just time-consuming, it's stressful enough to keep one job at a time.
I can imagine working at a gamestore being quite fun, but (and no offence to people working at game-stores, God knows I wish I did), it's maybe a bit harder to earn the amount of money to be able of paying the bills, whilst trying to maintain a "regular" life-style.
Working with a "trade", is also useful in many situations, one may encounter later on in life, since it proves that one is not afraid to get one's hands dirty (so to speak).
I used to be a woodcutter many years ago and it was up early and going to bed, once I got off work ^^ It wasn't very stressfull, but it was pretty hard work.

I did use to work at McDonalds (God forgive me), but it was much more stress than I could handle, so they "let me go" after 3 months. (Don't know how I managed to last that long ^^)

It's good to learn a trade and there may be more possibilites opening up, in "advancing"; the more skills one get in the line of work.
Money will always be an issue ^^

(I'll stop my ramblings for now, sorry... I have a tendency to not knowing when to shut up ^^)

Although I do play "every game I can get a hold of"; I do tend to go "back" to the 16-bit era of games. There's just something about those games, which appeal to me.
Although I do enjoy my fair share of 3D-games, there's still something about a 2D Fat little plumber jumping on mushrooms, which I find amusing ^^

The Breath of FIre series are on the 5th installment now (I think; Dragon Quarter, for the PS2, being the latest, I've heard of); but yeah... Older games are hard to come by, here as well.

I'll get used to the myspace thing, in due time. At the moment it's easier to get a hold of me here at GoG =)

I am... "retired"; Although it may sound a bit odd, but here in Sweden, things work in... a different way; it's like being on a long-sick-leave, since I can only be retired for a limited amount of time (for now it's until 2011), then they "retry" the whole process, to see if I am able to work again or not.

My dream-job is to work at "Game" (a game-store-franchise, located in Europe.. Don't know if you have it in the states as well); but I have a hard time dealing with people, so I'll have to work that out first

Making custom wood shutters, do sound like a (what I prefer to call) "honest living" and there's nothing wrong with that ^^

things are going quite well... but since it's.. 01:30 am (in the middle of the night) over here; I'm trying to go to bed... hehe.. nah, just kidding =) I prefer night-time (which is quite fortunate, since the USA is "at least" 6 hours "behind" me, so I'm awake when people in the states are =)

I'm trying to get into Breath of Fire (SNES) again (haven't played it for.. about 2 years), so there's plenty of hours ahead of me =)

I'm sorry about the "myspace" thingy.. I'm still learning about all the buttons, etc. and I didn't even know I had a "comments" section until a few hours ago ^^

How about you? It must be like.... 5 in the evening "over there"? (I suck at that AM/PM thing... we have 24 hours over here, so it's a bit "easier" for me to keep track of" =)

What do you do for a living (if I may be as bold to ask?)
