1. *Delayed* GoG Spotlight Member Speech!

   Sorry I failed on putting up a speech when I was the weeks spotlighted member. Life has been very busy for me these past couple weeks and continues to gain momentum. So since I have a few spare minutes here I figured I'd go ahead and put something together to make up for it.
   
   First off thanks again to Ben (kick ass name btw) and the GoG community for having me as last weeks spotlighted member, very cool stuff. Since I'm not exactly sure what a speech should entail, I'm just going to give you guys a little background info on myself, my involvement in GoG, and the video gaming community in general.
   
   Well to start it off I'm a 20 year old (21 in a few days, booyah) male from Manhattan Kansas. I've been involved in playing in and running video game tournaments/leagues since the release of halo 1. I got involved with MLG at the beginning of halo 2 and have been attending events for the past few years. Had some decent placing while I played but nothing spectacular, then about a year and a half a go I became a moderator on the mlgpro.com forums. That eventually led to me getting a job as a mlg event ref for the EA sports challenge last season, and now working on Halo 3 VOD for this coming season. (Anybody going to Orlando this weekend should say hi.)
   
   After spending most of my life around video games I decided I wanted to pursue a career in the video game industry, so after acquiring the funds I did just that. About 6 months ago I opened up a video game store/ LAN center called Gorilla Games in Junction City Kansas, and I've loved every minute of it. I've posted this speech and a few photos over in the GoG Forum, so check those!
   
   Now comes my involvement with GoG, several months ago I talked with Ben some way or another and he convinced me to create an account over here. So I did and posted a few times but not much more came from it other than checking the website occasionally. After seeing the IPGC advertised on the site, I talked to some of my friends who had been attending the LANs and tournaments at my store and decided we would make the 6 hour drive up to Iowa for a weekend of fun and video games. I'm very glad we did. Ben, you and the GoG crew did a great job with the IPGC and you can certainly expect to see me and Gorilla Games team at your future events!
   
   Anyways we ended up winning the 4v4 Halo 3 Division and had a great time in the process. We also met plenty of new people and saw several familiar faces who are also around here...sup Vivi, Fluffy Acorns, Caviezel
   
   You guys have a great video game community here and I'll be continuing my involvement with it much more than I previously had! Thanks again for the GoG Member Spotlight and I'll be seeing you guys around for sure!

   Hey man, I enjoyed the Gorilla Games photos over in the GoG Forum and I'm glad you reached back and took care of this neat acceptance speech!
   
   It's been a real pleasure getting to know you and the crew that you run with. Along with being cool and a good group to party with (ask Reese & Andrew about the Black Cherry Bombs we took during TIPGC, haha), your gaming experience and MLG connections are great to have as well.
   
   I'm pretty upset about missing MLG Orlando 2010 this weekend, especially with you celebrating your 21st birthday at th event, but I'm sure you'll party like a rockstar and enjoy a great video game event in the warm sun of Orlando, Florida. Take photos/video and please share around here for sure.
   
   Congrats again on this GoG Member Spotlight, your big win at TIPGC 2010, and I'm going to make you keep your word about spreading this community to others and staying active yourself...see you soon...
