Player Chronicle -- Posted on Jan 04 2010

So, it was last night, and I'll be the second chronicle talking about it.

It was fantastic. I met everyone I met at the last Cyberops gathering, and then I met even more. A few people I met/re-met

ZMaine: Awesome guy, really great at Guitar Hero. Enjoyed about 2 hours of GH5/RB2 with him.

Dynafire: Always awesome and beasting as normal. Saw him rocking some Borderlands at one point as well as some GH:M.

GETBENTNOOB aka Erin: Hailing all the way from Texas, probably the most hardcore, and hot, female gamer I've ever encountered. She was beasting Halo all night and at one point, said something about someone eating her donkey balls? Lol.

SweetIceCream: Awesome guy. Didn't really talk to him until the night was almost coming to a close, but this man was probably the coolest guy I met (that I hadn't met before, Love you BEN! :P) We talked about a lot of differences between Texas and Iowa, and we talked a lot of music, games, and the whole whatnot. Vyrgel and I grabbed him some breakfast, that he graciously paid for, and he was by far one of the coolest dudes I could see myself hanging with. Props to you IceCream, move to Iowa, n00b.

Wolvatron: What can I say? He was awesome at Guitar Hero 5. Even with the drumset being slightly shitty (Silent Bob, if you're reading this, I need to help you get another good set or sock mod!) Wolvatron rocked the hell out of GH5 and needless to say, has an epic beard. Awesome speaker for GoG too! You're amazing dude.

BEN: Awesome. Not much more to say. Other than, thanks for holding this event, I love everything you've done for the community, and cannot wait for March 13th.

Silent Bob: What can I say? This here is a man of pure epic. He runs Cyberops. That right now warrants an epic medal. And, he's awesome at Medium! He's old of course (Ha :P) so he says he can't make the jump to Hard completely yet, but he says he's been able to pass some of them, specifically Aerosmith (That's right, I was listening to the conversation!) All in all, Silent Bob is one of the most awesome dudes I've met to date, and I will be starting to become a regular to Cyberops I do so believe.

I unfortunately didn't meet many others on such a personal level. I did play Rock Band with Deadpixels (I think his name is?) but didn't really get to know him.

Another few things I did last night, was finally beat Assassin's Creed II (I rented the game, got to the final level, had to return it, thanks Cyberops for hooking me up!),
I tried Prototype, seems like that would be better in a quiet setting though.
I wanted to buy those Cog Tags from Gears II, but, damn you cash! I was too low.
I drank way too many Bawls,
I stood in the hot room of MW2 (Never played, even on my own console there was always someone on there or no one in there.)
I participated in GoGcast (Can't wait to hear that put up, I need to be on more of those, I loved the indepth conversation)
As I said, I enjoyed GH5/RB2 with ZMaine and Wolvatron
Watched my 2 attending buddies play WoW (They played side by side on new characters and never did anything different, then at one point one had 4515 XP and the other one had 4516 XP. Blizzard, you're getting a call.)
We voted on the top 20 video games of the decade, 120 entries, voting or something later?
There was more but I'm still recovering.

All in all, AMAZING event. Even greater people.

    EXPLICIT RANT
One thing I want to comment on, is the jackasses who stole shit.
This is fucking ridiculous. Cyberops went down 2 MW2 copies, and a whole ODST (single/multiplayer) AND someone got their TURTLEBEACH stolen. Are you fucking joking people? The MW2s I could see being a mistake, because everyone already owns that game.
    But ODST?! A TURTLEBEACH HEADSET!?
This is why we can't have nice things. Because people are jackasses. Go get a fucking job and GTFO. I will personally be doing a check in/check out system in which I personally go through all your shit when you arrive and go through all your shit when you leave. No exceptions. This is bullshit. I don't care if it ruins my night next time, because I'm too busy checking people in and out, this should never happen. We're a community, not a bunch of fucking dickheads. Well, at least I thought.
    END OF RANT

And that's my night. Comments, whatever, give them to me!

Nice to meet everyone who isn't a jackass, and thanks for the great time.

Still can't believe this happened. Nobody on here strikes me as being a theif. And everybody here seems to be loaded (at least compared to me :P lol )

Its cool that you met so many awesome folks from the community though. I wish i'd have been able to make it.

MW2 is easily mistakable because of the large amount of people that had a copy of the game with them and the fact that someone probably headed off with their Xbox with a game inside not knowing about the situation. But no one had ODST with them and DecipherOne's headset is just crazy. If you are reading this and have them, mistake or not, return them, so we can continue to have these fun events and continue to trust people with our gear. Like I said, MW2, could be 100% a mistake, for all we know it could be a common member around the site, but ODST is weird, first it is terrible and the only way that could be a mistake is if it was put in the wrong case or left in a non-Cyber Ops Xbox, and the headset, no excuses to that. PLEASE RETURN THIS STUFF PEOPLE!
