COLORADO GAMERS
Player Chronicle -- Posted on Nov 15 2009
Alright, so... I'd like to head to Iowa for the GoG 5,000 party, being as how it sounds super kick a$$. Problem is, it's a helluva drive from CO.
Anybody from Colorado looking to go and need a driving partner? I'm willing to throw down with my 2005 Yukon, so the drive will be nice. Leather int., rear captain seats + a 3rd row, Bose audio system, and best of all, a DVD player and TV screen with A/V inputs for some console action.
The most direct route for me would be to go through Denver and head straight into Kansas, navigating that state from end to end.
I'd be more than willing to go a little out of the way to pick people up, so if anyone is between me and Cyber Ops and wants to carpool, hit me up. Thanks!
Edit: I live on the south-west end of Colorado, in Montrose. Near Telluride and Grand Junction (just off the I-70)

Posted On Nov 18 2009Yeah, it's been said that Telluride has some of the best slopes in the country. But I've never really boarded any where else, so I can't compare personally.
Fun fact #318: Telluride gets it's name from an old mining community. The mines in that canyon were among the most dangerous in the area, and the workers called it "To hell you ride". With the help of some bad grammar and thick southern accents, it became Telluride. -

Posted On Nov 16 2009Kinda off-topic, but I've gotta say, I LOVE Telluride. I was out there 2 years ago after a gigantic snowfall, and had some of the best boarding in my life.
