Genocide of the Ants!!!

Now, I'm not exactly for genocide of any kind, but today I laughed at it! Work was extremely slow despite only having a handful of people working, and the last couple of hours were spent just waiting for a truck to show up full of frozen goods to stock before we could all go home. While waiting we "zoned" which is making sure everything on the shelves look nice and tidy. So I decided to look at the back of some of those things that kill ants in your house my mom used years ago to find out how they worked. I figured they were filled with ant poison, or were sticky and caught their legs or something...I was wrong!
What they actually do, is give you bait which you break up and place in a little container and are supposed to put them where ants are found in your house. What the ants will do is collect the poisoned bait and bring it back to their queen! The queen is then poisoned and the whole colony dies out! The first thing that popped into my head was "BRUTAL!" You don't just kill the ants in your house, but you destroy the whole colony!?!? That's genocide! A funny genocide!
Now as mentioned on this site elsewhere (I'm pretty sure anyway, it could have been during a GoGcast) my mafia is made of black ants, and my old friend had a mafia of red ants and we'd have gang wars with them. So even though it killed members of my mafia, I still found this idea totally awesome and funny!
Now again, for those animal lovers, I almost never kill anything anymore. I don't even destroy ant hills. I do kill spiders in my house because I used to have a small phobia of them, but like most things that used to scare me, the fear turns immediately into hate therefore I kill. So i am a peaceful little guy, I could have shot a bunny with a BB gun I had, but I purposely shot around it to get it away so I didn't get tempted to shoot it...But again ant genocide still = funny to me
