   5:17 a.m. No work left to do. I spoke with an associate who said we might get out at 5:30. I wasn't staying until 6:30...Who the hell do they think they are giving me an 8 hour shift!?!? 5:30 a.m. I see my associate walk right by me but said nothing. I watched as he headed to punch out with a "WTF? Can we go yet?" but it was too late...He was gone. 5:31-32 a.m. Then Ben walked by (no not BEN). He was going to let the 5:30 people get out because their's an alarm on the door (which is also locked) until 6:00 a.m. Unless given permission by a team lead, or the exec themselves we aren't allowed to leave...So I figured I'd be stuck until at least 6:00 a.m.
   
   NO! My iron will refused to let that happen! I had to think of something...and quick! I had an idea. I could find some wire or something and strangle Ben...Because I play videogames, which are proven to cause minors to be desensitised to violence, and easily infuriated...Leading to violence of course. This is very well known to the wise man Jack Thompson, who has been on TV hundreds of times, so of course he's right! However, Ben was the only one in the building who knew the code to shut the alarm off...That wouldn't work for me. I don't need a S.W.A.T. team on my back trying to escape.
   
   Then at around 5:36 a.m. I saw 2 co-workers walking towards the door. Again my past experience with videogames as a kid lead me to violent thoughts immediately. I could strangle the old guy and take his name tag...but then I remembered he got out at 6:30 as well. Then I looked at the younger guy, yes he might do. So I followed them to see if they would seperate from eachother so I could "silence" him and take his name badge. Then I would be able to make it to the outside world slightly less then an hour before I should have.
   
   Seemingly traveling in a 3 man group, we saw Ben. My heartbeat started to rise since we were so close to the door leading us to punch out, and Ben had just let the first wave of people out. I knew if he asked questions I'd have to pull out my boxcutter and slit his throat before he slit mine. But he addressed all of us asking if we were leaving. The old guy said "I'm gettin' the hell outta here". Seriously, basically his exact words. He's pretty cool! Oh he's not the guy who buys toys with blinking lights (referring to my quote chronicle).
   
   Ben laughed and told us all to go ahead and punch out and he'd disarm the alarm. It worked. The one employee who actually was allowed to leave at 5:30 provided a veil over the two of us who were 6:30'ers. Freedom was in our grasps!
   
   But then another team lead showed up. If he asked if we had permission to leave (which he's pretty nice so he really wouldn't care since no work was left), I'd have to lie or tell the true. Either way I was damned, unless I told the truth in which he'd say yeah sure go ahead. Anyway the old guy again said he was getting the hell outta here (he's saying this in a sorta dark/dry humorous way for your information, but without knowing that it sounds cooler). So anyway my story concludes, I punch out, walk out, drive home, and I added almost an hour to my free time and a loss of pay. Big fuckin' deal. I survived and escaped an hour early without having to kill anyone. That's just how awesome I am!

   Well, personally I thought I did in a way. It referenced Jack Thompson and had a tribute to The Godfather, and Hitman...Although I don't think many people will get it. Cookie for anyone who gets the references!

   These journal-like entries are great and I bet you'll enjoy looking back at your GoG Chronicle Collection someday and laugh at all the fun/interesting/bad experience you've highlight here
   
   I'd say you should try to keep the topics video game oriented, but I wouldn't want to stifle your writings.
