Player Chronicle -- Posted on Mar 24 2009

Okay, I hope the title fits well enough...What this is about is how I personally play some games...Which may be interesting or creative to some...Or possibly creepy for others.

Well, it all started off when me and my friend were playing Hitman Bloodmoney and it was my turn to play a level. Now of course we were just fooling around on this level where a guy was on witness protection I believe for ratting on others in his crime family so he wouldn't get in trouble. The hit takes place in a suburban neighborhood with a rehearsal for his daughters birthday...So I slaughtered every possible person in the neighbor hood as quitely and brutally as I could...After things got different...

I went up to the daughters bedroom, poured some ether on her panties on a drawer (there's a guard who sniffs them, so that would knock him out letting you take his disguise), dragged her dead mom in the room, then planted a mine, and then detonated it before I left the house.

Why though? Because I used my imagination and was thinking of what it would be like for her to come home and find the bodies of all those dead FBI agents, neighbors, then go to her room and find the remains of her mom in a obliterated room! Of course none of that happens in the game, and nothing in the room is destructible, it was just my imagination.

My friend asked what I was doing and I told him, only to have him mock me and tell me it was just a waste of time. That's fine but it made it a WHOLE lot funner for me! After that I reflected on things and realized I've done this for a long time! I kinda get into character and think of the fake consequences of my actions, such as reactions of the family, fake news reports, ect.

Like in the Godfather when I rough a guy up, not meaning to kill them, lowering them down to just enough health to where I can throw them and they'd barely survive, only to have them hit chair, liquor cabinet, or car...Then I get that HOLY SHIT! I DID NOT MEAN TO KILL HIM I SWEAR!" kind of reaction for when things get outta hand...

I'm curious to know what you all think of how I form my own fake video game reality and if anyone else does it, thinks about trying it, finds it creepy, or anything else on your minds!

A nice distribution of creepy, psychotic, funny, and creative come to MY mind Laughing
