  1. JackDaniels624 Things I tend to say a lot and possibly an explaination to them...

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Jul 31 2009

Okay so I feel like entertaining myself, and I wanna get enough chronicles for a very special 100th one when the time comes. That being said I'll try and think of things I say a lot and where they come from.

BYYYYYEEEEE BOBBB!!!!-This comes from the pilot episode of the show "Stella", one of my favorite shows!

The whole black clouds and silver linings metaphor-As far as I can tell, I've never had such a connection to anything then Dream Theater! And this is the title of their newest record. It's basically an easier way for me to explain how I look for the best in a bad situation.

I'm like an otter! A sexy little otter!-I got this from Sealab 2021. I know, I know, THATS NOT AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE!!! Still I always preferred Sealab over ATHF (I still love both) back when the two shows were new on Adult Swim...I miss those days...

My wheels in constant motion-There's also a lot of other lines from the song "Constant Motion" I use a lot, and that's because MP and I both share the inability to turn our minds off. Were both obsessive, compulsive, and we have disorders! I honestly thought constantly thinking at all times was normal before I heard that song!

Octavarium-This is pretty deep. Everything ends where it begins, and is a never ending cycle of repitition. Everything just spins round and round. 8 openings, 8 dead ends. Trapped inside a maze, there simply is no escaping this endless cycle (by the way the numbers 5 and 8 are very important in the Octavarium)

Grglgrrrgrrrlglsrls...-The strange grunting like noise I make when I have something to say, but can't find the words. So I make a wierd noise to ease my mind. No one may understand it but me, but for my mind that's all that matters.

How do you know my name!?!?-I ask people this every so often (people I speak to in person). Really it's a joke, but I'm always curious as to how people respond. Some actually have the answer!

Well, then don't rape!-I got this from Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job. Neil Hamburger calls Tim and Eric rapists for seemingly no reason, then Eric says "I do NOT appreciate being called a rapist!" and that's when Neil says "Then don't rape!"

Carpe Diem-I've heard this many times from many people. I adopted this for myself from MP, and a teacher I respect. It's Latin for Sieze the Day, and I found that it's probobly the best advice someones ever given me!

I'm pretty cool-I didn't know what to put for my current status on TrueAchievements.com, so I put "I'm pretty cool". Later that day DF send my gamertag a message saying "so I hear your pretty cool" and the rest is history.

The whole we all like to put the blame on society these things-Taken from a personal favorite Iron Maiden song, it's about how older people complain about how the younger generations act, but Iron Maiden points out "But what kind of good or bad, a new generation brings, sometimes takes just more then that, to survive the good at heart, there is evil in some of us, no matter what will never change" which basically means that evil is inevitable in all generations. And like all other generations, life will continue due to the majority of good hearted people in the world.

Our brave new world...-I got this from the Iron Maiden song as well, but mainly from Aldous Huxley's amazing book! I know I've never used it on this site, but I use it quite a bit in my personal life. Basically the books about the future where everyone's always happy in a perfect world...but everyones basically the same with only minor differences. There is no free will, no love, no religion, no passion, no artistic desires, everything is controlled and no one questions it. So basically I use this when people believe their opinions are superior and no one can disagree with them. This seems to happen a lot, and looking at our politcs these days of tolerate or else! It just seems to fit...Not to mention that all the music on the radio blends together forming a sea of mediocre at best, repeditive, generic, emotionless sound waves with absolutely no creativity. So it feels as if this "Brave new world" is becoming a sad reality. The silver lining is that I've learned to find this creativity I crave in the smaller things in life, and appreciate what is more creative (nothings really original anymore) more then the average person.

And I suppose that's it for now.
