  1. JackDaniels624 Judgement: Part One-Let thy judgement begin

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Aug 03 2009

Alright, I obviously won't be able to do all the songs now since I gotta get some sleep soon. But I shall do a few (going in chronilogical order).

    Krazy Army Girl suggestions-
    1. Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA"-A song I have heard many many times. Very powerful lyrically. In fact I don't even know what the instruments sound like hehehe...Still a very powerful song to someone like me. I have nothing but the upmost respect for our soldiers (true soldiers, not the ones graffitting gang signs and stuff over seas), especially since my cousin is one of them. Weather your for or against the war I really don't care for your opinion since I'm sliced in the middle myself. Anyway I have a strong sense of honor and respect. Most people would sacrifice anything for their families, these soldiers leave those families behind to go and fight for everyone in America's family. This most certainly earns my respect! Anyway, the America is a really great country. We have terrible politicians, that's obvious, but still America is beautiful! After watching "Heavy Metal in Baghdad" and hearing that headbanging is considered to be "jewish" and you could be killed for doing it, I appreciate being able to go to a concert, mosh and headbang my heart out, all without having to worry about someone who believes their religion grants them the right to do that. All this being said, I cannot rate the song. Way too much of a bias here to actually judge the musical aspect.

"Candle in the Wind" by Elton John-This is interesting in a way. I admit that this is very well written. The instruments match the mood of the song, and that's the important part. Though I don't think this is something that I would ever really listen to. So I'm torn on my judgement...Umm...I think I'll give it a 7.5 overall due to being well-written, but I just can't seem to get hooked into it.

    Wolvatron's suggestion
"A Question of Heaven" by Iced Earth-This is easy...why? Because I freakin' LOVE Iced Earth! IIRC The Dark Saga was where Matt Barlow had shown a wider vocal range, though I still say that Tim "Ripper" Owens was the best singer Iced Earth ever had, which I understand a lot of fans would find this to be blasphemous. Anyway, one thing I love about this song is that it has those nice softer, emotional parts (I love those bass riffs in them!), and of course the heavy angrier parts! I realize it's part of a concept album, but this song stands strong alone! Another classic by the diverse Iced Earth crew! 9/10

By the way Wolvatron, with song suggestions like that, I would have no problem with 30 Laughing

And to everyone else, I will get to the rest in eventually, and I'm always willing to take on more! And BEN, I uhh...won't lie I simply don't have the time to listen to every freaking techno song out there Laughing , if you could suggest some techno songs instead of just listing the genre it would help Wink
