CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!? Someone made a game based on a board game? no way!!!!!! Of course I am only joking, in fact there have been many... for example Risk on PS2. Sorry/Battleship/Perfection game combos for GBA and DS... and even Monopoly for SNES. <-- wait... monopoly? I can hear you already.... just wait... Wink

The game is basically a compilation of every monopoly board you could buy out at Toys-R-us... except for the fact that it is a little glitchy and slow to find random numbers (Dice Roll) than you would expect. Overall, since I know you all have had to play monopoly somewhere in your life, I need not explain how it is played, because it is the same as the board game. There are a few new mechanics that i will go over briefly:

    The passport.
This is how you unlock the different boards... You get "Stamps for playing boards and buying properties. The more stamps you have... the more boards you can play. Simple, right?

    Quickplay Mode
Yes, they have made pre-started boards that you can pick up and play, half done that can be completed in less than a half hour... but what's the fun in that? (yes, the SNES tried this too, but the premades were VERY dramatic... you know... OMG I HAS ALL PROPERTIES! ID LOVE TO WATCH A CPU GO BANKRUPT AS SOON AS THEY ROLL, etc...) Now the pre-mies are a little diffucult, and you can modify each one (to an extent) to start however you like.

    Money
They made the money divisible in Millions this time. so a property may cost 2 milion, but not to worry, you get 15 mil to start... and if thats not enough, you can edit that too..

Basically, Monopoly was made for anyone who likes the premise of the game, but wants to spend the money in other places. Instead of buying the boards and losing the pieces... now you buy the power bill for being addicted. Very Happy

Rating 7.2 for low originality value. high replay value though.

All in all... I would say, just enjoy it for what it is. Wink nothing really "new" overall. Stay Tuned... After all Spyro: Dawn of Dragons came out and that's next for me. Maybe.

I love Monopoly! What system is this new one for?

I remember playing a cheap PC version of this game a long time back, but playing Monopoly by yourself just doesn't cut it, haha. Is this new one also online for some multiplayer action??
