Player Chronicle -- Posted on Jan 07 2009

Well, now that 2008 is over, I think it's time to start looking forward to some new releases for 2009.

For the time being, I am only looking at games coming soon (until about March) that would classify as good, by at least some percentage of gamers.

    For the XBOX 360 owners:

Make sure to at least try the Demo for Lord of the Rings: Conquest. Whether or not to go and buy it at release, of course is only up to you.

For Skateboarding fans, make sure to check out Skate 2, dropping soon.

Afro Ninja. One of the funniest flash movie/game/anime/something of the online world in the past few tears is now coming to an actual game. Check out some reviews, and maybe watch a bit of the anime!

The next best Horror type game- only rivaled by Condemned 2: Bloodshot, is F.E.A.R. 2. Exactly what is stands for, Don't ask this reviewer. Most certainly something to try.

Now a quick, and I mean quick glance at Street fighter 4.

    *glance*

Same fighting styles, and graphic styles for the mainscreen action, but the backdrops are just a spectacle. The game is worth at the very least a rent, just to admire the art, but not even to lift the controller...

    Now for the Wii owners

After being literally let off of the gravy train of sucess with runaways like Fallout 3, wii owners can now breath a sigh of relief that wii might actually be seeing some good games soon.

Quickly, a remake of an old classic coming for VC, just to lighten the mood, KIRBY DREAM LAND 3!

    lol

House of the Dead was a runaway railshooter back in the day. in fact, you may have played it, and not even known it. Frankly, the first one, was more of the same. The only redeeming factor was that the original concept was soooo good, that it made up for everything in a matter of minutes. Noe we look ahead to A new house of the dead... Overkill. I only hope this will be good.

Pikmin. Need i say more - fanboys?

    Madworld.
This one has stricken my interest, and i am going to hurt sega if this turns out to be bad. Essentially, you get to express the limits of your mental sanity as you carouse alleys of major cities, all in Black and white, except for the bloodshed of those whom you kill... In the best and most overly psychotic ways possible. Keeping this PG, I cannot say much more except- if you want a fun game, give this a shot.

And now, a moment of silence

For the newest most likely embarrassment ever. Sonic and the black knight. One can only hope that this turns out to be ok, unlike any of the last 5 or 6.

and lastly, for those who want something more RPG and not so much Tactics from your console, The new Rune factory is scheduled to drop in late march.

    Now the DS

    Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
-What can I say, except... Shocked -

And we finally are getting the runanway hit for 360, or at least a version of it, Blue Dragon: dubbed Blue Dragon Plus.
-Hopefully not: Plus (less game more more same everything else haha)

Cool Chronicle and Madworld was the title that jumped out at me from this list of yours.

I also hear that the Halo Wars demo is dropping in February, so that might need added to this fine list of yours Very Happy
