Where I'm at, where I've been, & what I'm doing
Player Chronicle -- Posted on Aug 20 2011
Why hello there. It's kind of interesting to be typing this as I'm almost positive this will be my last chronicle on this site. It's been some good times, but as of late, things have changed, and I simply do not have much time to devote to gaming or writing reviews, as much as I enjoy both of those things.
The last few weeks have been interesting, to say the least. I've met a wonderful female, and we're in the beginnings of what I hope to be a long-lasting relationship. That is where the majority of my time has been devoted lately. I've also been looking for a place for us to live, which is where the rest of my time has gone. So as you can see, I've got a bit to deal with. While I have no plans to straight-up never return to this site, this could be considered a farewell for now. This site has been a great outlet to talk to and meet some cool people, or rant, or whatever, but there are important things that I need to get sorted out.
In closing, I just want to say that I will still drop by from time to time, and it's been real. Take care, everybody.

Posted On Aug 11 2011Thanks for the comments, guys. I'll send you guys a picture in a PM, since I'm not sure how she'd feel about having her picture floating around online. We don't have one together yet, but I'm sure that'll happen eventually.

Posted On Aug 10 2011I was both happy and sad reading your Chronicle. Sad somebody who'd put so much of themselves into making this a better place for all who cared to venture here, happy that you're attentions are diverted for all the right reasons.
You were always quick to volunteer your time to help, asking nothing in return except a "thank you." You were also the very rare breed who always made an offer to pay when we'd offer Cyber Ops as a venue for group get-togethers, never taking our hospitality for granted. You're a class act all the way.
I agree with BEN. Show us a picture of this lovely lass that's taken you away from us.
I'll be up in your neck of the woods next week, taking Carter and Brandon to the King Tut exhibit in Minneapolis.
I, too, wish you all the best. It was always a joy for us when we got to see you in person for tournaments or other special events. Your enthusiasm spilled over to the rest of the room, we always greatly appreciated your input and help on various setup matters, and your skill allowed you to walk away with your fair share of prizes. Speaking of which, could we work out some kind of swap since you won't be using those for the time being? I'd love to beat my son just ONCE in a new game (retro stuff I whip him all the time).
Take care,

Posted On Aug 10 2011I wish you all the best. Thanks for all your contributions over the last few years. You'll be sorely missed for sure.
Congrats though on finding what sounds like "the one." You can always pick back up your gaming stuff to share with the future DynaSparks (that's what I'll call your children!) like Chris did with his Brandon and I've done with Nick, Mitch and Carter.
At least you've got your priorities straight - family/relationship first, then the other stuff.
You'll always be a fondly remembered Cyber Ops Guitar God (among many other talents).

Posted On Aug 09 2011I'm glad to hear things in your world are good and this was kind of a sad read, but I'm glad you're moving forward in life
I vote you get her on here so you both can stick around between the busy elements of life, haha. How about a photo of you two? Obviously and as always, I wish you the best.
I don't expect this to be the last time we see Dynafire around here. Just sayin...
