Player Chronicle -- Posted on Dec 02 2007

so it's starting to be a new thing now where every Friday i go visit the girls in the dorm room next door and we play video games into the wii...*ahem*... wee hours of the morning. when i finally trudge back to my room, my cheeks and sides are hurting from all the laughter that took place, and my thumbs feel about read to fall off. good times indeed.

this got me to thinking about girl gamers in general. there's about 6 or 7 girls who like playing video games that i know of on campus. that's including me and one girl who doesn't actually go to my school (she works full time at the deli but likes to hang out with us students).

now...out of those 6 or 7 girls who like to play video games, there are only two of them play at a skill near my level. that is to say, it actually takes effort for me to beat them. one of them actually owns me at Dr. Mario. she haz teh skllz yo. the other 4 girls are pretty much...how do i say this nicely...not good. now, i haven't played a couple of them. they are my friend's roommates (my friend being one of the girls that's on par with me). but she told me how in SSBM she would sit back and let them kill the level 1 opponents then lay the smack down on them. the others i have played, and they pretty much say the same thing after a gaming session with me, "you kick *ss!"

so, am i some kind of rare find? i'm sure there are more girl gamers somewhere in my campus, but i doubt that they'd be able to keep up with me or my phat girl gamer friends. the deli girl couldn't even get into playing SSBM with us. "it's too chaotic for me." guess i shouldn't show her any bullet hell games. :P first person i ever met who didn't like the game! and everyone loves Smash Bros.! (everyone i met anyways)

so yeah. i've run out of stuff to say. i'm hungry. i need a snack. *goes to the vending machine*
