Player Chronicle -- Posted on Jul 04 2009

Guitar Hero Metallica is of course incredible if you're a fan of the music, which counts for myself of course. I enjoy all Guitar Hero's, not sure why but something draws me to them.

I tend to play the drums so I could only really give feedback about them, maybe guitar too but I'm pants Laughing

The gameplay itself it's pretty impressive but I get the impression not a lot of work has been put into it, the music is spot on along with the notes and such. But the characters and general scenery of the game seem too, *hmmm how to explain* Guitar Hero'ey haha, I guess we can't complain as it IS Guitar Hero 'hosting' a Metallica music game. I'm pondering on getting the second bass pendal as I can play expert on dertain songs but is there somewhere for the pedal to be plugged in? :S I have the Guitar Hero drums and i dont see no where to plug in nother pedal. Unless we use the USB on the front of the Xbox? Humm! You can tell I haven't done my research, lol

Terminator Salvation, hm. With this game I can't really put a finger on it, I had a good vibe from it when it was loading as graphics seems impressive. As I expected they were, yet it does have flaws of course. In my opinion the game controlls feel a bit stodgy and generally i'm not a big fan of third-person shooters. The game controls are pretty similar to WANTED: Weapons of Fate, but doesn't seem to fit this game. Also what I found really annoying with it was the loading time, also too much little cut scenes that really aren't needed. I haven't played much of Terminator Salvation and I don't see myself loading it into the disk drive anytime soon, EVEN for the wonderful 80G you get for every patheticly easy chapter. Wink

All in all I wouldn't recommend it but only to Gamerscore whores really, easy game, easy cheevos, I suppose it's pretty cheap too.

    Thanks for reading Very Happy

For double bass action you need a splitter, which came with my second pedal. Keep in mind that you'll probobly want something to hold it steady, since you most likely won't want both pedals next to eachother. Also remember that it will most certainly take some time to get used to, so try and get it in a comfortable position right away, I suggest sitting as you would regularily and see where your left foot is, and that's around where the pedal should go. I also suggest angling them slightly for a bit of comfort. Overall though it should just be whats comfortable for you...Oh and this is coming from a real life drummer if that means anything.

I too have heard that Terminator Salvation is very easy, but the thing that turns me off about it is that supposedly the campaign is only about 4 hours long. The game also has no multiplayer, so it's very much lacking content.

I thought GHM was very good as well, but ultimately, it just couldn't draw me in like Rock Band 2 did.
