The Pain of Gaming
Player Chronicle -- Posted on Nov 13 2009
Gaming is a great thing. It can calm you down after a long day of work, it brings you joy, and happiness for hours on end...but heck we all know the great parts of gaming, if not we wouldn't be a part of this site im sure.
How about the painful, dreadful parts though? If you look back in my earlier chronicles, you will see I had a bargain hunting segment. I used to bargain hunt every week for game acessories, clothes, games, systems etc. I did this out of love, but also because newer games are so expensive and can hurt our wallets pretty good. Once again though this is no suprise..
What i want to get down to, is the actual painful parts of gaming. lol. Myself for example. I get leg cramps ever so often because i always end up sitting indian style playing my xbox for like 8-9 hours straight. Also when Im playing gears or somthing for instance and I get killed in a way that you just have to shout out " SHENANIGANS!!"; I find myself smacking my leg lol. Lets not forget the good old ps2 throwing my controller at things days. I remember when we first got out flatscreen 32 inch tv, I got so pissed at a game i threw my controller almost hitting our less than a day old tv...missing by an inch or so! Gaming is so great, but somtimes It hits me how stressful it can make things as well. Like this one time I was working on a really highscore, not saving the game yet, and the house lost power! I was so mad. Also, I've actually had shouting bouts on xbl where i was shaking from being so angry. Those days are over though thanks to the beauty that is party chat. haha.
Lets not forget making myself sick from not giving myself breaks. Ive actually got to the point of being dizzy, and sick when i left my room from playing so long for so many days. (people definetly should take the 15 min breaks!)
Lastly pulled a muscle playing wii lol. So come on people, let me know ur painful gaming stories! weather it be actual injurys, breaking things, or just ur wallet pain.. lets discuss! <3

Posted On Nov 14 2009When i'm playing Halo online i sometimes get more than a little flustered. It seems like i don't have good games and bad games, but good DAYS and bad DAYS. Days where i'll either lose every game or win every game. And i've spent more than one night in front of a moniter with WoW on, when the morning sun starts coming in through the window it mkight be time to go to bed. :P

Posted On Nov 13 2009Wallet pain is the obvious situation that happens to me the most, but I suppose mental stress can be painful when my game isn't up to the standard I would expect.
In most cases though, gaming is the opposite of painful for me and the pain would come if I'm not able to get my ample amount of gaming time in
