  1. Kupo_Cakes My 360 wants me to play it 24/7! help!

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Jan 19 2010

alright so i know with the 360 that its bound to turn on when u sit on the controller or bump the controller menu pad.. but this is completely different. I was cleaning the room when all of a sudden my xbox turned on. I turned it off, then a minute later it turned back on again. at this point im guessing the controller is in my bed somewhere so i start looking to see both my controllers put up nicely, and neither of them on. I then turn the 360 off. this time it turns right back on..so im like ummmm....

I take out the battery packs from the controllers, and turn it off again. What do u know the 360 pops back on. I then unplug the system, let it sit, and then plug it back in for it to instantly turn on? i did this a couple times... and it keeps turning on. I finally just left it unplugged but dont know what to do, or whats wrong? i searched the webs and heard the controller issue, or if u have a keyboard plugged in or what not...even wii remote interference, but i have none of these things ... so any idea what i should do?

Don't listen to these neophytes, they speak solely of blasphemy. Your 360 is much like a person who claims they were abducted by aliens. It just needs some love. Not necessarily by playing it, but a nice hug everyonce in a while wouldn't hurt. I could explain further but you'd have to buy my book "360's Have Feelings Too You Joik!"

Do you live in an apartment or other multi-tenant structure? Odds are somebody else's XBox was trying to be turned on after synchcronizing with the same wireless frequency.

Hmm... eeenteresting. I had that happen with my PS3 a couple weeks ago, but that was fixed by powercycling the system. I'd suggest trying that again. Unplug it and let it sit for a while (maybe 5-10 minutes) and see if it helps. If not, I have no idea what could cause that besides some form of wireless interference. You could try calling MS support and see what they have to say.
