Nintendo sells for over 13k!
Player Chronicle -- Posted on Feb 12 2010
Sure we all have our old NES's sitting around our house, either being played or atleast stored away, but could u image selling it? I know i could never sell my NES.. but could u imagine doing so and getting over $13,000??
A woman put up her NES with a few games in a bundle on EBAY just to find that in less than one hour the bids were up to $6,000! after a few days the auction ended with a staggering $13,105!
I know what ur thinking.. Why?! lol. It actually wasn't the system itself. It wasn't gold plated, nor rare by any means... What it was that made this price soar in such little time was actually one of the games bundled in the package. The 1987 release of Stadium Events, a highly sought-after collectors' item was the game in tow. Not only the game itself, but the game was still in the original box. Somthing that can boost the game up by $10,000 alone!
The lady had gold in her hands and didn't even know it! lol
Stadium Events, is considered to be one of the hardest NES games to find, and there are said to be fewer then ten complete copies in existance!
Crazy Crazy Crazy..... Times like this makes me happy I don't throw away old games!!

Posted On Feb 13 2010I saw this story on Yahoo and also found it interesting! I saw someone started a small GoG Forum discussion around this story, but I decided to get a thread started for the actual game behind this bloated price tag. Let's talk about Stadium Events (NES - 1987)...
