I decided to try and farm my first Tiny Crimson Whelpling on WoW today. These are a 0.1% drop rate... and if u want a cumulative probability of getting one.. its like 100 kills =9.5% drop rate...401 kills= 33% drop rate... u have to kill about 700 just to get a 50% chance of even getting one. This all being said u could be there for a few days , not to mention the competition from higher lvls or other toons trying to farm the same thing. Well heres where i get lucky because i went to farm , and within 15 mins or so it dropped. lol. i probably killed maybe 35-45? XD

Posted On Feb 14 2010I luv farming- and awesome post! I got back on last week fired up the comp, started the game and all my stuff was gone! I was soo bummed, cuz I had my stuff set! Oh well, what they take I can gain back! One kill at time-

Posted On Feb 13 2010Questing is the fastest way to level unless you're being run through instances by friends. Even then it's fast to quest until your able to play in SM Cath. As of your drop Kupo, that's very lucky indeed. I've gotten a few of those myself including 2 assassins blades which both have a .01% and sold em for around 150g each. So those drops do happen but they are extremely difficult.

Posted On Feb 13 2010You need to go to the wetlands along the hill border (greenstrip area) there are a bunch. u can kill all the red whelplings, flame whatever and crimson as they all drop , but the lost whelplings will NOT drop so dont even waste ur time lol

Posted On Feb 13 2010I had'nt really thought about farming, just lvling through questing, but it occurs to me that there are multiple ways to enjoy all that WoW has to offer. So imma start doing some more PvP and farming for gold/drops and stuff. Where did you go for your Crimson Whelpling?
