huge surprise, and huge let down..

well for those who follow my thrift adventures , the other day was a huge surprise... huge sucsess. we decided to give craigslist another try, and in doing so we managed to get another sega saturn ( different version then the one we previously got) with virtual fighter 2 for 15.00, beyond that we got 4 n64 games for 12.00 being diddy kong racing, turok, perfect dark and castlevania.
heres the moment of let down.
we were walking the dogs last night and saw this hd tv on the driveway and it was like 37" and free! i of course was skeptical so i went and asked the owners of the house. they were like 70 years old and said it was free and they just upgraded ( which i noticed the box behind it was a bigger and thinner hdtv) so of course we were like heck yes.
We took it to our house and unplugged all out video game stuff, carryed this like 200 lb tv lol.. and when we tryed to turn it on, it made a loud beep sound and turned off and smelt like it was catching on fire!
so needless to say we were really pissed off. we instantly took it back and dumped it back in their driveway! the 70 somthing yr old people... they lied to us saying it basically worked, when really they were just looking for someone to take it so they wouldnt have to pay for it to be dumped! O_O HUGE LET DOWN. but its all good. lol
