    a lot of people call themselfs gamers, but what really defines a person as a gamer?

    i have seen a lot of people say that to be a serious gamer you have to do mlg, or fps games... or u have to own like every system, and get the new ones right when they come out.

    this is all FALSE. Gaming is a way of life, not just a hobby. too me a gamer is defined by his/her love of gaming. you could own like 10 games and one system..but if you have a heartfelt passion for those ten games and give those games your all, then your a gamer.

    If you sit here and say " oh no , im not a gamer" just because all you play is nintendo games... well guess what.. if you love playing those nintendo games then your a gamer.

    Having a huge achievement score, or cash prizes from mlg (while defintely gives you the right to brag) does not define you a gamer... It is the heart and soul you put into your games and the dedication you have towards what you love .

    a gamer is simply that. A person who takes time out of their lives to sit down and enjoy a video game as much as possible, and love those games ... Smile

    I'd even take it one step further because almost 90% of the time, when you ask anyone if they enjoy video games, they'll say yes. To the other 10% of people that might say no, I would ask them if they enjoy Pacman, Super Mario, or Tetris and guess what...they love those games! Actually, this is one of the fundamental ideas behind GoG, because we feel that anyone could join this place and enjoy at least a few elements of our community.

    I think everyone is a gamer and it's just a matter of how obsessed they are with this wonderful way of life Very Happy

    Maybe it's not whether or not someone is a gamer, but to what level of gamer they claim to be Wink
