First chronicle in a long time. I should update more often.
So it finally happened. After having my first gen 360 for a little over 2 years, it finally Red Ringed.
Before I left for work on Monday, I decided I wanted to play a couple songs on Rock Band and when I turned it on, it was the dreaded RROD.
So I immediately turned it off and tried turning it on again, and of course, same thing. So then I unplugged the power brick and plugged it back in and it worked. So I was hoping there was still some life left in it.
Sadly when I got home, it wouldn't turn back on no matter what trick I tried. And since my warranty expired in May 2008 and I previously tried getting into my 360 before, I'm gonna try to fix this thing myself.
Last night I took it completely apart and will hopefully fix it.
Since my xbox is already broken and I have no warranty, I have nothing to lose, right? I could use the experience lol

Posted On Dec 02 2009The thing is...my warrenty had expired the second time I red-ringed. They didn't care a bit. It was still completely free!
