  1. Im Marksman Vibras Five. One Review

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Apr 29 2010

Okay, I’ll admit it, when I first saw the Vibras Five. One headset over at BEN’s place, I had my doubts. My first question when I saw it was, “Where are the ear cups?” Besides the subtraction of the ear cups that are commonly seen on most high end gaming headsets there really is only one problem with the Vibras Five.One. The voice chat, the voice chat isn’t as clear or as loud as it could be which causes trouble when trying to hear teammates call outs. But let’s put the bad qualities behind us so we can focus on the good qualities. You will be surprised by how unique this headset is compared to the Turtle Beach, Astro, and Triton headsets. First thing you’ll notice when you wear the Vibras is how light it is on your head. Without the full ear cups, the Vibras weighs much less then the conventional headset, while maintaining the same sound quality. Being lighter, it is also much more comfortable then the big ear cup headsets which is a great benefit to the hardcore gamers that wear their headsets for over 2-4 hours at a time. Another amazing quality of the Vibras Five. One is the diverse use of the headset. If you are a hardcore gamer that likes to play some games recreationally as well, there is no better headset for you. The Vibras Five. One doesn’t require ANY batteries while the mic isn’t plugged in, and the battery life when using the mic is 3 times the amount of the Turtle Beach wireless headsets.

The battery life is a great thing with the Vibras, but it doesn’t rival the great sound quality and personal customization of the headset itself. The headset sound can be custom tuned to fit your game style, much more so then the Turtle Beach’s presets. Between the self-customization of the Vibras Five. One and the overall quality of the headset and sound, there is no equal. The Vibras Five. One is a definite competitor to Astro and Triton, but blows Turtle Beach out of the water, and to think, this is only the first model! If you haven’t given this headset a try you are surely missing out.
