Life in Maine

For many years I have been playing games, and I have loved it. I can't even remember a day going by when I haven't picked up on Xbox360 controller in the past month haha... Anyway, life in Maine...
Life in Maine is interesting, exciting, boring, cold, sometimes warm, and always full of beauty. I think that Maine has its strong points, but everything cancels out once winter hits because it is so stinkin' cold. I do think that Maine is freezing in the winter, and in the summer it gets somewhat warm, but I know that I will never move out of Maine because I love it here. People have told me, "You need to go to other states and countries and experience them." Well let me tell you, I have visited most of the states on the eastern seaboard and I DON'T like them haha...
I think because I am from Maine I am used to a certain temperature during the time of the year when I usually go visit places because I usually am sweating like crazy when I am. I have also gone to Japan to teach English for three weeks two weeks(which was the most AMAZING trip I will probably ever take).
This is just a side note, but, I just want to say: You never know how much you really have and take for granted until you visit another country. I am very blessed for what I have.
I am not sure what else I can say about life in Maine.. I can say that people here are very nice, and you will never get true Maine lobster until you come to Maine!

Posted On Feb 08 2012What an interesting Chronicle. I kind of feel like Iowa is like Maine. A cool place to be, but almost a hidden secret at the same time!
I'm guess it doesn't stay quite as cold here in Iowa, as it does in Maine, but I find the seasonal changes inspiring.
I also appreciate what you said about recognizing what you have. A lot of us here in America take our way of life for granted, so thanks for sharing that thought as well.
Overall, I don't have immediate plans to visit Maine, but if I in the area, I'm definitely not afraid to come check out that amazing seafood you speak of...keep gaming and welcome to the GoG!
