My first 'mod'-job.

Im sure everyone remembers their first, and mine is coming up in the next few days. The Hori EX2 arcade stick for 360 is a decent fight stick that will run you around 60 bones. But there is much to be desired, the plate in the bottom of the joystick only has 4 corners, and the buttons are mushy with a pretty bad color scheme to signify which one matches A,X, yadda, yadda.
So my plan is to remove the boring decal on the front, replace the buttons, the 4-way restrictor, and the microswitches. Only problem is I haven't soldered anything in my life. So surely I'm just gonna wind up killing it and I'll have a excuse to buy the 80$ SF4 stick. If anyone's done anything like this before, or has some soldering tips. They would be greatly appreciated
