   So I was reading DecipherOne's forum post called "The Robots are Coming!!!". By the way can a get a Hoo-Wahh for DecipherOne? I CANT HEAR YOU!?!? Anyway it reminds me of when I was 8, and no not around when I was 8, I know for a fact it was 8.
   
   You see my memory doesn't usually remember details such as age, or what I was like before around 13, but that's not the case here.
   
   When I was 8 I was having dinner with my family, and on the news (yeah I know watching TV as a family dinner, great way to bond, I remember it wasn't usually that way)...Anyway so the news was on showing a robot, like a stereotypical robot that we see in the media. A humanoid looking house cleaner, lawnmower, speaks a bit of english, and obey orders (HEY! Stop it! I know what you were thinking you racist!)...Honestly I didn't even mean for it to come out like that. Anyway a metallic human butler basically.
   
   They then said these were going to be very accessible to people in ten years!. I was singing the lighter part of Black Bubblegum by the Dillinger Escape Plan tonight at work while doing a what can only be described as some kind of Michael Jackson dance at work tonight! Not should be, or could be, but WILL!!! WILL BE! Well 10 years plus 8 years=18 years. I would be 18 years old by the time a lot of people were supposed to have robots. Well, I'm 20 and I'm still hearing about how robots are still being developed. I actually believed everything on the news as fact at the time, and didn't forget that! Point is the news lies, and don't you forget it!

   Honda's Asimo robot is still the most functional robot I've seen to date. I'm not sure if robots will ever be as accessible as in IRobot, but I think they will become more common for doing specific tasks, ect. Consciousness in a robot is a completely different story. But if things continue to develop technological wise, at an exponential rate, there's no telling what could happen in our life times.

   Those childhood memories are great and if yours has a robot in it, even better! haha.
   
   Anyways, I think there will always be talk of robots being developed into the mainstream, but a lot has to change before that happens. I don't doubt we'll see it in our life time and I know robots are already doing some amazing things now, but my guess is 30-50 years before we see anything comparable to the "I Robot" movie.
   
   This Chronicle may have also inspired me to write about a conversation I had, with an Intel employee I had while I was in Colorado a few weeks back
