   (If you LOOOOVE GTA IV then don't read this. Turn away now.)
   
   (I'm dead serious.)
   
   (You have been warned.)
   
   I'm sick and tired of hearing about the game, seeing the game advertised, people saying the game is the best thing ever, blah blah bloody fricken blah.
   
   The series has been doing the same thing since GTA 3 (which was, what? 3 games ago and we're just now on 4?) and nothing's changed. You can still run around the city with a small arsenal tucked away nowhere, hijack cars, shoot people, get chased by the cops, run into things, die, and start all over.
   
   Is this fun? How is this fun?
   
   "Well you've never played it so you don't understand!"
   I've seen it played and guess what? It's the same fricken thing from GTA 3 but different city, different character, different cars, better graphics, and more hookers. Take a step back and see the game for what it really is.
   
   Do I want to play it? No. Why? Because shooting people in the face and stealing their cars isn't my idea of a good time.
   
   And the storyline is a tedious, monotonous, undertoned example of bad writing. "Take me to the porn store that's only three blocks away." While on the ride there he gives me useless information. "Now take me to a gun store, buy yourself ONE gun."And more useless info. "Now take me back to the house."
   
   WOW! Great times!
   
   I'd rather have a 10-ft cactus shoved up my @$$ than play this game. I'd rather ram my head through the computer monitor. I'd rather play in traffic. I'd rather cut my dick off and toss it into the microwave and fry it for 10 minutes. I'd rather play E.T.
   
   I HATE GRAND THEFT AUTO.
   
   How is it so many of you lemmings are falling for this? What makes so many people who don't even consider themselves gamers to buy this game? Is it some sort of deep desire to do all these illegal things? Some sort of escapism? I know it can't be fun, not with what I've described it as. It just eludes me.
   
   So many people claim to be "anti-mainstream" gamers. Meaning they don't like to play hyped games and hate the media attention.
   Let me take a moment while I say this: DURRRR!
   
   Am I the last sane person left alive?
   
   I know I'm going to be hated for posting this. So if you want to argue with me about it: shut up now. I don't want to hear any more pro-GTAers than I already have. If you want to argue, then go yell at a brick wall. Let me have my opinion of this crapfest of a game and you have yours. Remember how I warned you not to read this?

   i gatta admit i will probably buy it when it hits like 20.00... but till then its so not worth my money. i too dislike the gta series.. not becuse they suck.. but just because the attention it gets, and im really not to into the mafia type car jacking games. it looks fun, but people need to chill, its not the best game on earth lol

   The fundamental game play is pretty similiar to the past releases, I agree, but for me the new map and the movie-like missions are a new story using some of the cool stuff I liked about the GTA series.
   
   I won't bother you with things I like about the game, but your side of the story was good to read and I'm sure there are others that might skip this title too.

   I can see your point. Even though I do enjoy the newest installement I couldn't help but read it. I have never been able to play these games so this is the first time I have really progressed farther than just typing in cheats and killing everything in my sight. I would probably have gotten tired of it by now if I was into all of the other ones , but since this is my first try at the series Ive had a fun time .
