Gamer Bio:

I've been playing since I was 6 years old, collecting consoles, roms, computers and a whole lot of floppies. But in '98 I left the gaming scene. My box at the time was the N64 and I only owned one game, South Park. I got busy and was pretty disillusioned by the state of the market. Then a couple of years ago I let a buddy talk me into camping out for a Wii, and I figured, what the hell -- I could always sell it for a profit. Problem was I loved the damn thing, and now I was hooked all over again - I kept it. This year I came back with a vengeance. I figured, well... I could get myself a 360 or a PS3 and try to keep up, OR I could sort of go back to where I left off. So I picked up a refurbed XBox, a used PS2 and a PSP-slim (Star War bundle, of course). So far I'm up to about 70 games between the 3 consoles and the portable and about 20 or 30 slightly old, slightly used PC games. But once I pulled by old stuff out of mothballs I realized - I must have literally thousands... I'm glad I kept it all. All of the old consoles work, the DOS games play great with an emulator and I'm back to having the time of my life! Yeah, sure the market's in even bigger disarray today, but the fun's still there. And in the end, isn't that what really counts?
